My favourite Outdoor Wear + Giveaway
My favourite Outdoor Wear for my Australia Travels
For my Australia Adventures, I always pack my Samsonite Bag with my favourite Outdoor Wear. Meanwhile, I have written blog posts about what to wear when travelling in Australia and why I prefer functional clothing when I pack for outdoor adventures.
Why pack functional Outdoor Wear for Australia
Reason no. 1 – In Australia you are going to spend most of your time in the outdoors. Not only does the Australian weather vary a lot throughout the country. Many places in Australia can be wet, humid and very windy too. Weather and temperatures vary a lot within a day too. Temps may go from 25-30°C during the day to a sudden drop of 5 °C at night. The atmospheric temperature range is not only typical of Outback areas, even in rural areas and in some cities you may experience a sudden temperature drop. That’s why I keep emphasizing on the importance of packing functional outdoor wear when travelling in Australia.

Why you shall use functional Outdoor Wear!
The primary benefit of using functional Outdoor wear and Activewear is the comfort and high protection from the special fabrics that keep your body temperature adjusted to the outdoor climate conditions. In a few words, functional wear keeps you dry, warm and/or cold in your outdoor activities, it protects you from wind, sunlight, rain, humidity.
Moreover, outdoor wear garments are lightweight and easy to care. After washing they dry quickly and you don’t need to iron them, as they go back to perfect-to-wear shape soon after drying. They take way less volume of normal clothes, so you save room when packing luggage for Australia.
What functional wear I use on my travels – my list
I am an outdoor addict which means I spend 90% of my time in the outdoor and therefore I pack for the outdoor. I leave fancy dresses, high heels and makeup at home.
The usual outdoor outfit I pack in my Samsonite Bag is made of a rain jacket and a wind jacket, two fleece, two long pants, two short pants, two long-sleeve shirts, one short-sleeve shirt, four tees, four singlets and my beloved body map from Gondwana. I discovered Gondwana in 2004 on my first Solo Trip in Australia and fell in love with its straight, natural design and excellent product quality. I first tested short pants, shirts. Last year I had the chance of trying out several Gondwana Outdoor Garments.
On this page, you can read my Gondwana review.

On my outdoor travels, I always put my zip off trousers on.
Perfect when the weather and the terrain is changing.

Yes, I am also a fan of the zip off pants. However I’ve noticed that long pants in Australia are the best, because of the strong sun and those poisonous things! 🙂 Thanks for participating and best of luck!
