My stay at Darby Park Apartments
For my Margaret River Tour I booked my stay at [do action=”bold-blue”]Darby Park Apartments. [/do] Margaret River lies 300 km south of Perth, with 5000 inhabitants the place extends over a vast area of a picturesque landscape with unique forest, soft hills, rugged cliffs, sandy secluded beaches. As Margaret River is located inland, about 10 km from the beach, all kind of accommodation is offered spread around the area.
As I travel solo I always prefer staying in town. After a day out touring the area it is essential for me to feel part of the community as well as having all facilities close to my accommodation.
The Darby Park Apartments are right in the heart of Margaret River, just opposite the Tourist Information Center and 1 minute walk to the main road. Therefore all kind of shops, restaurants, café, banks and services are very close.
For me the Darby Park Apartments was the ideal type of accommodation I was looking for.
What Darby Park Apartments offer
Despite being right in the heart of Margaret River, the Darby Park Apartments complex borders the forest to make of these 60 units a peaceful place. From the balcony of my studio apartment I could see a dense vegetation with tall trees and see, with bird singing at sunrise. With a backyard pool for chilling out and having a break. Moreover the apartments on the ground floor have the possibility of using the BBQ facilities, right in the garden.
The 60 units serviced apartments offer various type of accommodation, from 1 room studio apartments to 2-3 room apartments with kitchen. These self-contained apartments are fully equipped so that you have everything you need like in a real home. The great advantage is that they are serviced apartments like hotel rooms, which means you do not have to look after the cleaning. From short, medium to long stay the Darby Park Apartments are definitely the ideal solution if you like to be independent and stay in town.
My Studio Apartment at Darby Park in Margaret River
I stayed in a studio apartment. This was the perfect room for me as a solo traveller. The thing that reminds me of this place is the lovely eucalyptus scent that welcomed me to the forest, when I entered the room. It was a wonderfully strong, pleasant scent. That was my reward after a long drive from Perth. I really felt comfortable and would not leave the room!
The room was comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the forest and fully equipped with all what I needed for breakfast and my meals. From the gourmet shops just 2 minutes stroll from Darby Park it was ideal to have my dinner ready within a few minutes. Toaster, microwave, ridge, cutlery, dishes, kitchen towels, nothing was missing in the cupboard. After a long day out touring the Margaret River Region I could not have asked for more!
The balcony overlooking the garden and the pool created the perfect scenery for the “[do action=”bold-blue”]home-away-from-home[/do]” feeling.
