Perth is a fantastic city even though it’s been a long time since I visited! Kings Park is amazing – especially during the wildflower season when the great WA State wildflower, the Kangaroo Paw, is flowering. There’s a great seafood restaurant at the docks in Fremantle too, and a lot of interesting shops nearby. I’m looking forward to going there again sometime!

I have lived in Perth all my life. I love the relaxed lifestyle and we have the best weather in the country! Hillarys Boat Harbour is another favourite. Worth visiting Leederville or Mount Lawley for lunch and dinner too!

Perth is a great city. I was only there for three days recently. I left on a Friday so I missed the Twilight Hawkers market. Although you can go from Perth to Fremantle for under $5 on the train, I chose to do a Swan river cruise from Perth to Fremantle for $30 and take the train back.

Hi Rhonda, I never did the Swan River Cruise and have heard that is a great one. So next time it will be on my list! Perth is a lovely city with over 2 millions population, growing bigger from year to year and changing face rapidly.

Michela, I agree that Kings Park is a real jewel. Freo and the Cott are two other great places to hangout. You must come back and check out Elizabeth Quay (although I will have a post shortly) as I think they have achieved their goals. It is beautiful, but that’s just my opinion 🙂 I am so proud of my hometown, thank you for a great post.

Hi Lyn, Perth is a great place to be. I love Freo. Cott is always very busy but a wonderful place to hang out too. I must say that Perth’s suburbia is really gorgeous and have a very distinctive flair. Sometimes I do prefer hanging out in those little villages like Subiaco, Claremont, and in the north bound there are many more nice places. I was at Elizabeth Quay in April but wasn’t finished at that time. Hope to get back to Perth soon again.

I have always wanted to go to Perth after hearing so much about it. Living in Sydney, I might have to fly in for a little break! I would love to see the Kings park and Rottnest Island for the quokkas! Thanks for sharing!
